Day 7.1 Magic Hands

Unique like no other, get ready to experience Oaxaca’s signature creations = it’s handcrafts.

We will visit 3 different communities to get a hold of the most important aspects of the Oaxacan culture. The first sop will be a one of the most traditional workshop of Alebrijes (wooden carved figurines painted with natural colors, yes like the ones in Coco!), then we will visit a local textiles market, have lunch in a Oaxacan restaurant and to end this journey we will learn the unique techniques of creating Oaxaca’s signature black pottery.

The technics they use have been passed on through generations and we will get to experience and understand the process of all these handicrafts first hand!

This type of art is one of Mexico’s most valued gems, so be ready to stand side by side our most talented and magic hands in Oaxaca.
